South African born rapper/singer-songwriter Ecca Vandal is an artist based out of Melbourne, Australia. Developing an early love for jazz music, Vandal studied to receive a bachelor of creative arts in Jazz at the Victorian College of the Arts before turning her attention to hip-hop and soul music. In 2014, Vandal released her single White Flag to great critical success. In 2015 she released her next single, Battle Royal, and was signed to Island Records in the UK and the label Dew Process in Australia and New Zealand. She released her debut EP, End of Time, in 2016 and her first studio album in 2017. Singles off of her self-titled studio record include Future Heroine, Broke Days, Party Nights, and Price of Living. The album was received with praise in the media and earned her a tour across Australia and the United Kingdom. Collaborating with Dan Cribb, the pair released the single Happy Birthday, Lisa – a cover song from a popular The Simpsons episode. In 2019 she announced she was working on a second studio album, which has yet to be released.
