Eckhart Tolle Bio
Eckhart Tolle, birth name, Ulrich Leonard Tolle, was born on February 16, 1948, in Lunen, Germany. Tolle is a famous spiritual leader and author. He is best known for his first book published in 1997, entitled, The Power of Now. Tolle’s other famous books include A New Earth: Awakening Your Life’s Purpose and Guardians of Being. In 2008, Tolle’s famous book, A New Earth: Awakening Your Life’s Purpose, reached the top of the New York Times bestseller list. This successful book was recognized by Oprah Winfrey on her talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and added to her book club. Later that year, Tolle and Winfrey teamed up to start a webinar series based on this book as well as Tolle’s teachings. Winfrey has since added Tolle to her “Super Soul 100” list, a list of the most influential and spiritual people in our society. After the rise of his book in 2008 and his partnership with Winfrey, Tolle created his own company called Eckhart Teachings as well as a web page entitled, Eckhart Tolle TV, where he shares spiritual teachings and guided meditations for his fans.
