Eddie Redmayne is an English actor and model born in London, England on January 6, 1982. He is best known for his roles in the films The Theory of Everything, My Week With Marilyn, The Danish Girl, and Les Misérables. At 10 years old he discovered his love of acting and singing while attending the Jackie Palmer Stage School with James Corden. In 1998 he made his debut on television in the show Animal Ark and has since been in the shows Doctors, Elizabeth I, Tess of the d’Urbervilles, The Pillars of the Earth, The Miraculous Year, and Birdsong. He made his debut in theater in 2002 in a production of Twelfth Night and has been in productions of “Master Harold”…and the Boys, The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia, Now or Later, Red, and Richard II. In 2006 he made his debut in film in the movie Like Minds. He has also had roles in the films Powder Blue, Hick, Black Death, Les Misérables, Jupiter Ascending, Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them, and others. Throughout his acting career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won a Golden Globe , an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, a Tony Award, and many more.
