Eddie Manuel Rosario, Jr. is a professional MLB player born on September 28, 1991, in Guayama, Puerto Rico. He made his MLB debut for the Minnesota Twins on May 6, 2015, against the Oakland Athletics. He played for Team Puerto Rico in the 2013 and 2017 World Baseball Classic. He has a batting average of .270, 137 home runs, and 468 runs batted in.
Eddie was the 114th player in MLB history to hit a home run in his first major league at-bat. In 2011, he was named Appalachian League Player of the Week three times. The following year, he ranked 12th best prospect in the Midwest League by Baseball America. He was named to the Midwest League All-Star team and outfielder on MiLB.com's Twins Organizational All-Star team.
In 2018, Eddie won Calvin R. Griffith Award for Twins Most Valuable Player and was one of five finalists for the 2018 AL All-Star Final Vote. He won his first World Series title in 2021 as a member of the Atlanta Braves. His accolades include NLCS MVP (2021) and AL triples leader (2015).
