Eduardo José Herrera de los Ríos, better known as Eddy Herrera, is a Dominican singer and songwriter who performs merengue music. He was born in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, on April 30, 1964. Eddy began his music career in 1984 when joined Wilfrido Vargas's musical group, and he began his solo career in 1990 with the release of his debut studio project Independiente. His discography includes the hit singles TU Eres Ajena, Como Hago, UnIdiota, Remember, Como Llora Mi Alma, Ahora soy yo, and the albums Ahora, Aqui Estoy, and Libre which features fellow musical artists Daniel Santacruz, Miriam Cruz, La Materialista, and Frank Reyes.
