Maurizio Colella, popularly known as EDX, is a Swiss DJ and music producer who was born on November 2nd, 1976 in Zürich, Switzerland. He was born to Italian parents who were music lovers. He was inspired by American producers like David Morales and Armand Van Helden as well as British DJs like Carl Cox.
EDX began his music career in 1994 when he would record mixes on cassette tapes, but he released his official debut single I’m Not Interested in 1997. He has since had a successful career as a music producer, and as a touring DJ, EDX has performed at MDL Beast Festival, Blockley Music Festival, Electric Zoo, Tomorrowland, Vibez Open Air, and New Horizons. Maurizio has remixed tracks by some popular artists like Dubfire, Deadmau5, and Armin van Buuren. He then recorded and dropped singles on labels like PinkStar and Toolroom Records. He launched No Xcuses, a popular radio show/podcast, and also had a residency at Ibiza Superclub Space in 2011. Maurizio’s double mix CD No Xcuses - The Violet Edition was released by Armada in 2011. The following year his full-length album On the Edge followed.
He continued to remix tracks by popular artists like Charlie Puth, Janelle Monae, and David Guetta.
