Elah Hale is an American singer and songwriter who was born in 1999 in the East Village, New York, United States. She was raised in Park Slope, Brooklyn. She began learning how to play the guitar when she was five years old and she was also enrolled in Music in the Lower East Side Program (MILES).
Elah later enrolled in Bard College for theater. At the same time, she was releasing her own songs on various online platforms while modeling on the side. She later landed a contract with Interscope Records when she turned 20 and then released her debut EP Room 206 in 2019.
