Professional Kazakhstani tennis player, Elena Rybankina was born on 17th June 1999. She began playing tennis at six and was trained by illustrious players like Andrey Chesnokov and Evgenia Kulikovskaya. She had a combined career-high ranking of World No.3 and reached the high point of her junior career at 17, reaching two junior Grand Slam semifinals and a Grade-A title at Trofeo Bonfiglio in 2017. In 2018, she switched federations from Russia to Kazakhstan when she entered the top 200 for the first time in her career. She began to achieve success consistently on the WTA circuit in 2019, with her first WTA title at the Bucharest Open. She became the first Kazakhstani player to win a major title with her Wimbledon victory in 2022. She became the No.1 Kazakhstani player and No.12 singles player in the world with this title.
