Elizabeth Anne Vargas is an award-winning American TV personality, journalist, producer, and news anchor best known for her work in television. She was born in Paterson, New Jersey, United States, on September 6, 1962. After graduating from university, Elizabeth made her TV debut in the mid-1980s when she became a reporter for the KTVK-TV network. She has since had a successful career that spans decades, with regular appearances on the TV shows America's Most Wanted, The Untold Story, Good Morning America, Good Morning America Weekend Edition, ABC World News Tonight with David Muir, and Primetime, but she is best known for hosting the news-documentary series 20/20 which also featured David Muir, Amy Robach, Barbara Walters, and Deborah Roberts. Elizabeth won an ALMA Award for Outstanding Correspondent or Anchor of National News Program.
