Ellie Holcomb Bio
Ellie Holcomb, born Elizabeth Asher Bannister (September 2, 1982) is an American singer and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. Also the daughter of notable producer Brown Bannister, Ellie began her music career with her husband’s band, Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors. By 2005, Ellie wanted to pursue a solo music career and this released her first EP, ‘Magnolia EP’ in 2011. Her second EP, ‘With You Now’ arrived in 2013 and debuted at number seven on the Billboard Christian Albums Chart. In 2014, Holcomb went on to release her debut studio album titled ‘As Sure as the Sun’ where she was given the award of Best New Artists at the GMA Dove Awards. Her second full length album, ‘Red Sea Road’ arrived in 2017 and was produced by her father, Brown Bannister. The album eventually peaked at number two on the Christian Charts with singles such as ‘Find You Here’ reaching number twenty-one and ‘Red Sea Road’ at number thirteen on the Top Christian Singles Chart. Ellie Holcomb’s most recent work is a children’s album titled ‘Sing: Creation Songs’ along with a children’s book titled ‘Who Sang The First Song?’. Througout her career, Ellie Holcomb has performed with Third Day, Steven Curtis Chapman, Chris Tomlin and Amy Grant amongst many others.
