Emerson Hart is an American singer and songwriter who was born on July 21st 1969 in Washington, Pennsylvania, United States. His father was a singer with the USO and his mother was a television hostess. Emerson rose to fame as the lead singer and songwriter of the band Tonic which he formed with his close friend Jeff Russo. Other members of the band were Dan Rothchild (bassist) and Kevin Shepard (drummer). They dropped their super hit album Lemon Parade in 1997 which went platinum. Some of the famous singles in the album include Open Your Eyes, If You Could Only See and Soldier’s Daughter. Emerson also wrote the theme song for NBC’s American Dreams drama.
