Emily Henderson Bio
Emily Henderson was born in Oregon on September 1, 1979. She won the HGTV Design Star Season 5 through her eclectic style. Secrets From a Stylist, her new series, will transform a single room into three spaces with different design by mixing classical and contemporary elements. She received much praise for layering design styles.
Henderson graduated from the University of Oregon where she had a Degree in History and English. She studied at The Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and she eventually became a popular photo stylist for design and lifestyle publications and national retailers.
She worked with Cindy DiPrima for four years, and she credits the stylist for most of what she has learned. In 2015, she released the book Styled: Secrets for Arranging Rooms, from Tabletops to Bookshelves.
