Emily Maitlis Bio
Emily Maitlis is an English news presenter, journalist, and TV personality best known for her time as the lead anchor of Newsnight on BBC 2. She was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, on September 6, 1970. Emily began her news presenting career in the late 1990s when she began working for news outlets in Hong Kong, but she became famous in 2001 when she joined BBC. Throughout her time with BBC, Emily was a regular on the shows BBC News, BBC Weekend News, BBC News at One, and BBC News at Ten, but she is best known as one of the chief presenters on Newsnight which also features Kirsty Wark, Jeremy Paxman, Gavin Esler, and Mark Urban.
