Emily Swallow is an American movie, television, and theatre actress born January 19, 1981, in San Diego, California, USA. Swallow is mostly recognized for her roles as Kim Fischer on The Mentalist as well as Amara / The Darkness in the 11th season of the hit series Supernatural. Swallow began her career in theatre, appearing on Broadway in several productions, such as King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. After her theatre debut, Swallow had her first movie cast in 2008, appearing in the American comedy-drama The Lucky ones, alongside Michael Pena and Rachel McAdams. Her rise to prominence enabled the young actress to become a part of multiple successful projects such as television shows Monday Mornings (2013), The Mentalist, and Supernatural for 14 episodes each, as well as the voice of Lisa Tepes in the Netflix hit animated series Castlevania. Her latest TV appearance was in the Disney + hit series The Mandalorian, where she played the mysterious Armorer of the Mandalorians.
