Emilie Sunshine Hamilton (born June 8, 2004), professionally known as EmiSunshine, is an American singer-songwriter and social media star from Madisonville, Tennessee. Her 2014 YouTube performance of Jimmie Rodgers' "Blue Yodel No. 6" earned over 1 million views and attention from the Today program (NBC) and Music Row. Her YouTube series, Americana Corner, debuted with Holly Williams and was featured in Rolling Stones Rolling Stone Country section. EmiSunshine's music is classified as country, but it also has elements of Americana, bluegrass, blues, and gospel. Her style has been described as "old-time music flipped upside down." She is well-known for writing and performing songs about mature subjects that are not typically associated with artists her age, such as murder, poverty, politics, autism, and family dysfunction. She was named by Rolling Stone as one of the "10 new country artists you need to know" in 2017.
