Emma Jennifer McKeon is a professional swimmer born in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia, on May 24, 1994. She was part of the Illawarra Academy of Sport Swim Squad, winning the 2010 DRB Group Tobin Family Award for IAS Athlete of the Year. She won one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals at Singapore's 2010 inaugural Youth Olympic Games.
Emma made her senior international debut at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, winning four gold and two bronze medals from six races. She made her Olympic debut at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, winning one gold, two silver, and one bronze. The UNICEF supporter won four gold and two bronze medals at the 2018 Tokyo Pan Pacific Championships.
Emma won three gold medals at the 2019 Gwangju World Championships (LC), four gold medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, and six gold medals at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games. She received a nomination for the 2022 Laureus World Sports Award for Sportswoman of the Year. She is a Member of the Order of Australia (AM).
