Emmett J. Scanlan Bio
Emmett John Scanlan, known as Emmett J. Scanlan, is an Irish actor, producer, and writer known for his work in film and television. He was born in Clontarf, Dublin, Ireland, on January 31, 1979.
Emmett began his acting career in 2004 when he acted in a few episodes of the TV series The Big Bow Wow. He has since had recurring roles in the TV series Hollyoaks, The Tower, Ten Percent, Kin, Women on the Verge, Safe, and The Fall, but he is best known for portraying the character Billy Grade in the crime-drama series Peaky Blinders which also features Cillian Murphy, Paul Anderson, Sophie Rundle, Finn Cole, and Natasha O'Keeffe.
Emmett’s filmography includes Lapwing, Here Are the Young Men, The Inside, Charlie Casanova, and Once Upon a Time in Dublin. He has won multiple awards for his acting, including three British Soap Awards for Villain of the Year, Best Newcomer, and Best On-Screen Partnership with Kieron Richardson.
