American TV producer, performer, and podcaster Eric Bischoff was born on 27th May 1955 in Detroit, Michigan. He is best known as the Executive Producer of the World Championship Wrestling. He was introduced to wrestling with the American Wrestling Association in 1986. He subsequently became the host and interviewer on AWA. This opportunity was presented to him when the existing announcer Larry Nelson was suspended from the show. After AWA folded, he interviewed for the role of the WWF announcer but was rejected. In 1991, he became a C-show announcer for the World Championship Wrestling and rose to fame as a TV personality. He was promoted to Senior Vice President in 1994 and became the President in three years. In 2002, he became the general manager of WWE Raw after WCW was dissolved. In 2021, for his contribution to the world of wrestling, Eric Bischoff was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
