Born Eric Sheridan Prydz on July 19, 1976, the DJ and musician is better known by his stage name of Pryda, also occasionally performing as Cirez D. Eric Prydz is the owner of three labels: Pryda, Pryda Friends, and Mouseville, all spawned from his career which began in the mid-1990s. His breakthrough, however, is said to have come in 2004, when he released a single titled “Call On Me” which featured a sampling of the song “Valeria” by Steve Winwood. The song charted highly in both the UK and Germany, and was certified Platinum in Australia as well as Gold in France, Sweden, and Switzerland. In 2012, he went on to release a 3-disc album that featured his tracks and remixes, titled Eric Prydz Presents Pryda through Virgin Records. The album managed to chart in Belgium and in the UK.
