Ernie Hudson is an American actor, born on December 17, 1945, in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He is best known as Winston in the 1984 mega-hit Ghostbusters. Ernie enlisted in the Marine Corps after high school, graduated from Wayne State University, and received a full scholarship to study at the prestigious Yale School of Drama. He got his first role on screen in 1976 in Leadbelly. A series of starring and guest roles followed on such television shows including The Incredible Hulk, Little House on the Prairie (1974), Taxi, Mad Bull, and many more. In 1994, he portrayed Sergeant Albrecht in The Crow by Alex Proyas. He has written and produced several films and appeared in many TV series such as Oz by Tom Fontana, Law & Order with Jerry Orbach and Jesse L. Martin, and Desperate Housewives with Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman. In 2015 he began co-starring in the Netflix original series Grace and Frankie.
