Eugenio Suárez is a Venezuelan professional baseball player, born on July 18, 1991, in Guayana city, Venezuela. He was originally signed by the Detroit Tigers as an amateur free agent on October 9, 2008, but he broke into the big leagues with the Detroit Tigers on June 4, 2014. Three days later, he made his first major league start against the Boston Red Sox, and recorded his first solo home run. The Tigers traded the Bolivar native and Jonathon Crawford to the Cincinnati Reds at the end of 2014. Four years later, Eugenio signed a seven-year contract with the Reds. On September 10, 2018, he was selected for the MLB All-Stars at the 2018 MLB Japan All-Star Series. In early 2022, Eugenio and Jesse Winker were traded to the Seattle Mariners in exchange for Justin Dunn, Jake Fraley, Brandon Williamson, and Connor Phillips.
