Excision, born Jeff Abel on April 29th, 1986 in Kelowna, British Columbia is a Canadian DJ and music producer. He specializes in the electronic music genres of dubstep, drum and bass, drumstep, glitch hop, and hardstyle. He began DJing and producing in 2004 when he established the label Rottun Recordings. He is a frequent collaborator of fellow producers Dion Trimmer, and Datsik and Downlink.
In 2007 he began to release music with his co-creators mentioned above. He began playing at the B.C. music festival called Shambhala. He has released a mix from his session at Shambhala every year since he started DJing there. In 2011 he released his first full length album called “X Rated” on the Deadmau5 label Mau5trap. In 2015 he released the album Codename X on his own label. 2016 brought the release of a new album called Virus.
