Eyehategod, also known as EHG, is a New Orleans, Louisiana-based American sludge band that has been performing since they came together in 1988. The band is made up of Jimmy Bower on guitar, Brian Patton on guitar, Joey LCaze on drums, Michael Williams on vocals, and Gary Mader on bass guitar. In 1992, they released their debut studio project In the Name of Suffering. Their discography includes the hit singles New Orleans Is the New Vietnam, White Neighbor, Blank, My Name Is God (I Hate You), and the albums A History of Nomadic Behavior, Take As Needed for Pain, Dopesick, and Confederacy of Ruined Lives. Their music was used in the soundtrack of the 1997 film Gummo.
