Langston Faizon Santisima, later known as Faizon Love, is a Cuban-American actor and comedian born in Santiago in 1968. He grew up in New Jersey and as a young man was encouraged to join the cast of Off-Broadway plays like "Great Expectations." In the early 1990s, he started landing small TV roles, and in 1993 he started collaborating with comedian Robert Townsend as he was recommended to join the cast of his movie “Meteor Man.” In 1995 he became a regular character on Fox’s sitcom “The Parent ‘Hood’.” Love also appeared on Ice Cube’s 1998 film “The Playing Club,” establishing himself as a recurring presence in African-American film comedy. Love had his mainstream breakthrough with subsequent comedies like “Blue Crush” (2002), “Elf” (2003), and “Torque” (2004).
