Family Force 5 Bio

Family Force 5 is an American Christian and “crunk” rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. The band was formed in 2005 by the Olds brothers, Solomon “Soul Glow Activatur” Olds, Jacob “Cruton” Olds & Joshua “Gatty” Olds along with their friends, Nathan “Naddy” Currin and Brad “20 Cent” Allen. The band started off with different names; first as the The Brothers, then Ground Noise and lastly, The Phamily before officially becoming Family Force 5. In 2006, the band released their full length album titled ‘Business Up Front/Party in the Back’ which received praise from both Christian and non-Christian listeners. As the band became more recognized for their Christian rock sound, the band released an EP titled ‘Dance or Died E’ in 2008 which landed on number 30 on the Billboard 200. After their EP release, Family Force 5 received a number of awards from Rock on Request Awards for Best Crunk Rock/Rap Artist, Best Rock Album and Best Christian Rock Artist. By 2009, the band release a remix of their ‘Dance or Die EP’ featuring electronic dance and rock artists such as The Secret Handshake, 3OH!3, Danger Radio, Cobra Starship amongst many others. Their third album, ‘III’ came in 2011 followed by their 2013 album, ‘The Third’. Their most recent body of work came in 2014 titled ‘Time Stands Still’. According an online source in 2018, the band has still been making music but have not released anything since their last Christmas single, ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’ in 2014.
