Fan Bingbing is a Chinese actress, born on September 16, 1981, in Qingdao, China. She is best known for her roles in X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Empress of China, and The King's Daughter. Fan started acting as a teenager and rose to fame with her roles on Chinese television. She graduated from Shanghai Theatre Academy before debuting on TV in the 1998 TV series Huan zhu ge ge. In 2006, she released her debut pop album titled Just Begun. For the role of Wu Yue in the film Cell Phone, she received the award for Best Actress at the Hundred Flowers Awards. In 2014, Fan played Blink in the X-Men: Days of Future Past and gained significant mainstream exposure in the west. She briefly disappeared from the public view in 2018. In 2022, the Qingdao native played opposite Pierce Brosnan, Kaya Scodelario, and William Hurt in the American action-adventure fantasy film The King's Daughter.
