Far East Movement is a hip-hop group from Los Angeles, United States. The band was established in 2003 and consists of Kevin Nishimura, James Roh, and Virman Coquila as of August 2018. The trio grew up together and shared a common passion for music. They started pursuing music on a serious level after graduating from high school. Their breakthrough came when their song “Round and Round” was used in the film “The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift.” In 2010, they released a single “Like a G6” in collaboration with rap duo The Cataracs and singer Dev, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart as well as on the iTunes chart in later 2010. Their track “Girls On the Dance Floor” was used in a main scene in the popular films “CSI Miami,” “So You Think You Can Dance,” and “Get Him to the Greek”.
