Born as Farina Pao Paucar Franco in Medellin, Colombia in 1986, Farina began her musical career professionally as a contestant on 2005’s X-Factor. She released her debut record, Yo Soy Farina the following year. Farina started her acting career in 2011, by starring in the Colombian TV series, Tres Milagros. The series earned her a nomination for the Best Actress and Revelation of the Year Award at the TV y Novelas Awards. She released her second album in 2012 titled Del Odio al Amor which featured 12 tracks composed by her and produced by DJ Lago.
In 2013 she won the Best Colombia Artist Award at the Mi Gente TV Awards. She got signed by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label in 2017 which boosted her career even more and helped her earn a nomination for the Artist of Tomorrow Award at the Grammy Awards.
