Counted among the top live performers internationally, Fat Freddy’s Drop is a seven-piece band from New Zealand. Since their formation in 1999, they have explored various genres, from reggae to soul psychedelia. This evolved into a mix of digital sonics with jazz undertones. In 2006, the band had their watershed moment with their appearance in the 2006 Detroit Movement Festival. The band has performed in over 1000 shows, making appearances in Europe and Australia. They have also performed stand-alone shows at the Zitadelle and Columniahalle, Paradiso, Alexandra Palace and Brixton Academy, Le Zenith and Sydney Opera House. They have amassed a huge following in the UK and Europe. Their strategic approach to music is evident in the improving quality and experience delivered in every performance.
