Fazerdaze, otherwise known as Amelia Murray, hails from Morningside, Auckland and is a New Zealand singer, songwriter and musician. With a self titled debut EP released in 2014, she burst onto the scene as a unique sound, recording her EP famously in the bedroom of her apartment in Auckland, she worked with Jonathan Pearce, a multi instrumentalist who helped her create a sound that has been described as dream like pop, created by the use of effect pedals and electric guitars.
Releasing her first full length album in 2017, also self titled, and this time with Flying Nun Records, she has released such hits as Lucky Girl and Take it Slow, leading to her most recent album becoming a commercial success.
