Felicity Jones was born on October 17, 1983 in Birmingham, England. Her career began as a child in Treasure Seekers (1998) and later in The Worst Witch and Weirdsister College. She was also a cast member for the radio program The Archers. As an adult, she studied English at Wadham College at Oxford University. After graduating in 2003, she appeared in the BBC drama Servants (2003) before shows like Doctor Who, The Chalk Garden, and The Diary of Anne Frank.
Her career truly took off after her performance in Like Crazy (2011), in which she won an Empire award for “Best Female Newcomer” and a Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. She also won a Cinema Vanguard at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival for her acting in The Theory of Everything (2015), for which she also had 18 other nominations. Recently, she is noted for her role in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2017), where she won an Empire award for “Best Actress.”
