Felipe Nunes is a Brazilian skateboarder, born on May 20, 1990, in Gama, Federal District, Brazil. He lost both his legs when he was six years old. He started skating to give up the wheelchair, and in a short period of time, he was competing and winning contests in his native Brazil. The Brazilian joined Tony Hawk’s brand, Birdhouse Skateboards after the superstar helped him enter Tampa Am and called him a true inspiration. In 2019, Felipe was featured on the cover of Thrasher magazine. In 2021, he signed with Vans, one of the global leaders in skateboarding. He has competed together with fellow Brazilian skater Vinicios Sardi, who is also a double above-the-knee amputee and skates without using prosthetics.
