Fireboy DML Bio
Adedamola Adefolahan, who is better known by the stage name Fireboy DML, is a songwriter and singer from Nigeria. Fireboy started singing as a child at his local church choir. His growing interest in music during his college years led to the release of his debut solo, ‘Jealous’ under YBNL Nation’s collaborative album ‘YBNL Mafia Family’ in 2018. The song was a combination of African harmonies, country, and soul.
Fireboy DML came back with another romantic single ‘What If I Say’ on 14th June 2019. Finally, Fireboy published his first studio album titled, ‘Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps’ on 29th November 2019. This solo album consisting of 13 songs garnered over 6 million hits on Spotify. Following the success of his first album, Fireboy released the tracklist of ‘Apollo’ in August 2020, his sophomore album. Fireboy DML was nominated for the Song of the Year Award for ‘Jealous’ at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival, and he won the Listener’s Choice Award for the same song.
