Five Finger Death Punch Bio
Five Finger Death Punch, also known as FFDP or 5FDP, is an American heavy and groove metal band from Las Vegas, Nevada. The band assembled in 2005 with members Ivan Moody on lead vocals, Caleb Andrew Bingham and Zoltan Bathory on guitar, Matt Snell on bass and Jeremy Spencer on drums. The band release their debut album in 2007 titled ‘The Way of the First’ which was highly successful and garnered a huge amount of fans. Their follow-up album arrived in 2009 titled ‘War Is The Answer’ which exceeded the success of their first album. ‘War Is The Answer’ became a certified platinum record by the RIAA. FFDP’s next 4 albums (‘American Capitalist’ in 2011, ‘The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell, Vol 1.’ In 2013 followed by Volume 2 in 2013 and ‘Got Your Six in 2015’ all became certified gold albums, making the band one of the most prominent heavy metal bands of the 2000’s. FFDP have performed for the Mayhem Festival for several years along with a number of appearances at the Download Festival. From 2011 – 2014, the band receive Indie Artist of the Year consecutively each year from RadioContraband’s Rock Radio Awards. Even more so, the band’s punching metal sound has won them several awards from Bandit Rock Awards, Revolver Golden Gods Awards, Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, Louwire Music Awards and SiruiusXM Octane Music Awards. The current members of the band are Jason Hook on lead guitar and backing vocals, Chris Kael on bass and backing vocals, Charlie Engen on drums and percussion along with Bathory and Moody being the only founding members out of the original four. Five Finger Death Punch has garnered a global audience with their innovative metal material and are still active today.
