Fobia is a rock band from Mexico. The band was formed in 1987 and its current lineup consists of lead singer Leonardo de Lozanne, lead guitarist Francisco “Paco” Hiidobro, bass guitarist Javier ‘Cha!’ Ramirez, drummer Jay de la Cueva, and keyboardist Iñaki Vázquez. The band released their self-titled album in 1990, featuring their first hit, “Microbito”. In the same year, the band toured with the bands Maná and Caifanes to promote the emerging Mexican rock bands.
In 1993, the band released a new album, titled “Leche,” followed by a fourth album, titled “Amor Chiquito”, in 1995. The band toured Latin America and the United States. In 1997, they released a live album titled “Fobia on Ice” before the band was dissolved the same year. They reunited in 2004 and released the compilation album “Wow 87*04,” followed by a fifth album titled “Rosa Venus.” They toured Latin America and the United States to promote the album. In 2019, they performed at the “El Palacio de los deportes” arena to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band.
