Foghat is a rock band formed in 1971 in London, England. The current members include Roger Earl (drums), Bryan Bassett (lead guitar), Rodney O'Quinn (bass guitar), and Scott Holt (lead vocals, rhythm guitar). After signing a record contract with Albert Grossman's Bearsville Records, they released their self-titled debut album in 1972.
Their sophomore album was also called Foghat, becoming their first gold record. The band released Family Joules in 2002 after touring for two years. They released projects of their live performances, including The Official Bootleg DVD, Vol. 1 in 2004, and Foghat Live II in 2007. In 2021, they released 8 Days on the Road (Live).
Foghat has 1,737,901 monthly listeners on Spotify. They have eight Gold records, one Platinum record, and one Double-Platinum record. Their discography includes Energized (1974), Rock and Roll Outlaws (1974), Fool for the City (1975), Stone Blue (1978), Last Train Home (2010), and Live at the Belly Up (2017).
