Forest Swords Bio
Forest Swords is an English electronic experimental musician, DJ and record producer. He was born Matthew Barnes in The Wirral, England. He released his debut EP called “Dagger Paths” in 2010. The record was named Album of the Year by FACT Magazine, and it received a very good score on Pitchfork. His debut album was released in 2013, and the public response was also very positive. His second album “Compassion” was released through the label Ninjatune in 2017. Barnes has Made remixes of Bjork, Gold Panda, These New Puritans and Anohni tracks, among many others. In 2018, Barnes curated and produced a compilation through !K7 Records which featured his own songs, as well as Dead Can Dance, Orbital and Mira Calix tracks.
