The Four Tops is a legendary American vocal quartet renowned for its soulful renditions of R&B and pop music. Founded in 1953 in Detroit, Michigan, by highschool mates Levi Stubbs, Abdul "Duke" Fakir, Renaldo "Obie" Benson, and Lawrence Payton, the group has undergone several lineup changes over the decades. Today, the band comprises Abdul "Duke" Fakir, Ronnie McNeir, Lawrence Payton Jr., and Alexander Morris.
The Four Tops' debut studio album, Four Tops, was released in 1965 and marked the beginning of their rise to fame. Their music is known for its smooth harmonies and powerful vocals, and they have a string of hit singles to their name, including I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch), Reach Out I'll Be There, Baby I Need Your Loving, and Loco in Acapulco.
