Franklin Roy Bruno is a retired professional boxer and actor born in Hammersmith, London, England, on November 16, 1961. He is famous for 21 consecutive wins after his professional debut in 1982. As an amateur, he represented the Philip Game Amateur Boxing Club, winning 20 bouts and losing one to Joe Christle.
Frank became the youngest Amateur British Champion at 18. As a pro, his record was 40-5. He lost world title bouts to Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Tim Witherspoon, and James "Bonecrusher" Smith. He is a former British Commonwealth and World Boxing Council Heavyweight Champion. In 1990, Frank was honored as a Member of the British Empire (MBE) by Queen Elizabeth II.
In April 2012, he was featured in the ITV series Piers Morgan's Life Stories. He published his book, Frank Bruno: 60 Years A Fighter, in 2022. Frank has appeared on Make It or Die Trying: The Frank Warren Story, Sooty, The Heaven and Earth Show, The Danny Baker Show, Michael Barrymore's Saturday Night Out, Omnibus Presents Comic Relief, and The Late, Late Breakfast Show.
