Fred Leone is a well-known community leader who is of Australian Aboriginal, Tongan, and South Sea Islander descent. Fred and his family are indigenous to the Garawa and Butchulla tribes.
Fred is a Butchulla Songmen member, a language custodian, and a groundbreaking, award-winning artist who works beyond genres and mediums to bring a totally unique voice to his performances and recordings.
Fred is the owner and operator of Queensland's only Indigenous-owned and operated record company, Impossible Odds Records. He has performed as a featured artist with the globally acclaimed Black Arm Band in Canada, China, Malaysia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and Australia, as well as in solo theatre performances in the United Kingdom.
