Free Nationals Bio
Free Nationals is an RnB band founded in Los Angeles, California, in 2010. The band is signed to OBE Empire, and its members include Jose Rios, Ron Avant, Kelsey Gonzalez, and Callum Connor.
They recorded, performed, and toured with Grammy-winning artist Anderson. Paak extensively before releasing their self-titled album on December 13, 2019. The album featured Anderson .Paak, Syd, J.I.D, Mac Miller, Daniel Caesar, Conway the Machine, T.I., Westside Gunn, Shafiq Husayn, Kali Uchis, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra.
Kelsey Gonzalez is the band's bassist, Ron Avant plays the keyboard/vocoder, Callum Connor handles the drums, and José Rios is the guitarist. They featured as the remix engineer on Remi Wolf's We Love Dogs! Also, they were featured on T.Nava's Buddy and Pretty Lady by Tash Sultana. Rae Khalil featured them on his 2020 FORTHEWORLD album in ALLSTAR. They were nominated for the Best Urban Contemporary Album in the Grammy Awards for their project with Anderson .Paak.
