Freema Agyeman is an English actress best known for her work in film and television. She was born in London, England, on March 20, 1979.
Freema began her acting career in 2001 when she appeared in the TV series Crossroads. She became famous in 2006 when she joined the cast of the TV series Doctor Who, and she has since had recurring roles in the TV series Sense8, Old Jack's Boat, The Carrie Diaries, Law & Order: UK, Little Dorrit, and New Amsterdam, which also features Ryan Eggold, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims, and Tyler Labine.
Freema has won a Screen Nation Film and Television Award for Favourite Female TV Star.
