G.R.L. Bio
G.R.L. is an American-British-Canadian vocal group formed by Robin Antin, and consisting of members Lauren Bennett, Natasha Slayton and Jazzy Mejia.
The group, which has gone through multiple members, made their debut appearance on the Smurfs 2 soundtrack with a remake of the song “Vacation”. After their initial entry into music, they would later appear with Pitbull on “Wild Wild Love”, which was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Their second single “Ugly Heart” came on the heels of band member Simone Battle passing away, and it received international success. The next release, “Lighthouse” was released in memory of Battle, and the group disbanded soon after the song’s release in June 2015. G.R.L. officially reunited in August 2016 by adding Jazzy Mejia alongside original members Bennett and Slayton, making the group a trio.
