Gabriel Fernando de Jesus, popularly known as Gabriel Jesus, is a professional footballer born on April 3, 1997, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Currently, he plays for Manchester City, where he has played 159 matches, scored 58 goals, and made 29 assists. He joined Manchester City in 2017 for 27 million euros.
He began playing as an amateur at Clube Pequeninos do Meio Ambiente and later moved to Associação Atlética Anhanguera. He debuted as a pro at Palmeiras in 2013, scoring a record-breaking 54 goals in 48 matches, and helped win the 2015 Copa do Brasil trophy for Palmeiras since 1994.
Gabriel was promoted to the Brazil senior team in January 2015, a year after featuring in the 2014 Brazil's U17 State Championships. He was awarded Best Newcomer for his performance in the 2015 season. In 2016, he was part of the team that won the Gold medal for Brazil at the Olympics.
Gabriel has won four premier league titles, one Serie A, one FA Cup, four League Cups, two Community Shields, and one Copa America.
