Gad Elmaleh Bio

Gad Elmaleh is a French-Moroccan actor and stand-up comedian born in Casablanca, Morocco on April 19, 1971. He is incredibly famous in France and French Canada and is known as the “Seinfeld of France.” Elmaleh made his acting debut in the film Les soeurs d’Hamlet and has since had roles in the shows and films XXL, Man Is a Woman, Train of Life, Doctor Dolittle 2, Ole!, Priceless, Coco, Despicable Me, La Rafle, Midnight in Paris, A Monster in Paris, The Valet, Jack & Jill, Mood Indigo, Le Capital, The Dictator, Huge in France, Salut cousin! and more. In 1997 he started his comedy career performing a one-man show named Décalages. From 2015 to 2018 he did a national comedy tour across the United States. In 2006 he was awarded the Order des Arts et des Lettres by the French Minister of Culture and in 2017 he was made a member of the National Order of Quebec.
