Gail Mancuso was born in Melrose Park, IL on July 14, 1958. She started her career as an usher for television show sets, which quickly grew her love for television. Gail had her first big break into television as the script supervisor for the comedy Brothers. Shortly after, she became the associate director for the hit 90s comedy Roseanne. During her time working on Roseanne, she had the opportunity to become the one of the main director’s.
Gail has directed numerous television favorites including Dharma and Greg, Friends, Rules of Engagement and Scrubs. After directing a episodes of Tina Fey’s 30 Rock, she won a Gracie Award for her work. In both 2013 and 2014, Gail won an Emmy Award for her work on Modern Family.
