Garbage is an American rock band formed in Madison, Wisconsin in 1993. The members of the band are Shirley Manson on vocals and guitar, Steve Marker on guitars, Duke Erikson on guitars and keyboards, and Butch Vig on drums and percussion. They released their debut studio album in 1995 self-titled Garbage through the labels Mushroom and Almo. The album sold over four million copies and was certified double platinum in the UK, US, and Australia. They have since released the studio albums Version 2.0, Beautiful Garbage, Bleed Like Me, Not Your Kind of People, and Strange Little Birds. In total they have released six studio albums, two compilation albums, one EP, and three video albums. They have sold over 17 million albums worldwide. Garage has gone on a number of tours, including Garbage tour, Version 2.0 tour, Beautiful Garbage tour, Bleed Like Me tour, Not Your Kind of People tour, 20 Years Queer tour, Strange Little Birds Tour, Rage and Rapture Tour, and 20 Years Paranoid. The band has been nominated for numerous awards and has won two GAFFA Awards, three Music Television Awards, three WAMI Awards and more.
