Gary Sinise is an American actor, producer, musician and philanthropist. He was born Gary Alan Sinise on the 17th of March, 1955, in Blue Island, Illinois, U.S. He started his career by producing, directing and starring in the movie “Of Mice and Men”, based on the novel of the same name by John Steinbeck. He got his first major breakthrough when he portrayed Lieutenant Dan Taylor in the critically acclaimed and public’s favorite “Forrest Gump” starring Tom Hanks, in 1994. For his job on that movie, Sinise was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He played the lead role in “Truman”, which earned him a Golden Globe and he starred in “Apollo 13” in 1995. He has also appeared in iconic movies like “The Green Mile” in 1999 and “Impostor” in 2002. He has played several roles in television series like Detective Mac Taylor in “CSI:NY” and George C. Wallace in the television biopic titled “George Wallace”. In 2016, he joined the main cast of “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders”.
