Gaspar Noé was born on December 27, 1963 in Argentina. He is an Argentinian film director, screenwriter, film editor, cinematographer, and film producer presently living in France. His father was an Argentinian artist named Luis Felipe Noé in Buenos Aires. Noé’s four films I Stand Alone, Irreversible, Enter the Void and Love made him popularly known.
He has won numerous wards, including the Prix Tournage Award at the 1991 Avignon Film Festival; the Bronze Horse award at the Stockholm Film Festival in 2002; awards at the Cannes Film Festival in 1991 and 1998; and other international film award ceremonies. He was also nominated for many other awards, including an award at the 2004 International Online Cinema Awards (INOCA) and the 2003 Boston Society of Film Critics Awards.
