Actress Gemma Christina Arterton, born February 2nd 1986 in Kent, England, studied at Gravesend Grammar School for Girls, attended the Miskin Theatre at North West Kent College, and graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Gemma snagged her first role in Capturing Mary, and made her stage debut in Love's Labour's Lost. She went on to appear in St Trinian's, Quantum of Solace, Clash of the Titans, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Runner Runner, Byzantium, Tamara Drewe and The Disappearance of Alice Creed. Gemma starred in The Duchess of Malfi at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, and went on to appear in Gemma Bovery, Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em, Orpheline, Their Finest, National Theatre Live: Saint Joan, Watership Down, Murder Mystery, How to Build a Girl, and Summerland.
